So I just had a very funny experience.  I was walking to the bank and on my way home I notice this little italian bakery.  i've passed it many times before and I always say that i'm going to go in there someday so today i decided to go in.  As I walk in this little old woman (who is very hard of hearing) comes out from the back and says, "What do ya want?" 

Me: "I would like some bread rolls." 

Woman:"Pepperoni?"

Me: No, i would like 2 bread rolls.

Woman:  2 pepperoni?

So at this point I'm about to start laughing because I'm pratically shouting "bread rolls" and then I just figured I'd better go over to the window and point to what i want before I leave with 2 pepperoni! hahaha!  So finally I get my 2 bread rolls and the woman shouts at me, "That'll be 50!"  So I said, "50 cents?"  and she says, "Huh?"  So I just decided to say nevermind and keep my mouth shut.  Haha, I felt like it was a comedy scene out of a movie. 

I think that made my day!   

It has been such an amazing semester!  I can't believe there are only 2 weeks left.  I have learned so much this semester and grown incredibly. 

I'm so happy its the christmas season!!!  We had a christmas party here on the 16th floor.

In  other news, there was a fire in our building today.  We were all sitting around when the fire alarms went off.  When we went out into the hallway and realized it smelled like smoke, we knew it was real and threw some shoes and warm clothes on and made a run for it.  The stairwell was pretty smoky and it was not fun running down 16 flights of stairs.  When we got outside there were at least 4 fire trucks.  the fire was on the 15th floor and supposedly the floor above and below are supposed to have the sprinklers go off.  I was worried b/c since we left is such a hurry i left my laptop open and  I thought for sure it would be ruined.  To my surprise when I returned the sprinklers hadn't gone off. I don't know if thats a good or bad thing.  If we ever need them, I'm not sure they work! 

I really want to go ice skating. 

I can't wait for christmas.  I decided i'm going to attempt to make plum dumplings this year.  My grandma always used to make them and since she passed away we haven't made them, but I really miss having that tradition of making them so I think I'm going to start it up again and attempt to make them this year.  They probably won't be as good as hers, but its worth a shot!  At least i'll have an oven that works right, our oven here in the apartment burns everything!  I swear its always 500 degrees no matter what temp you set it too.  hahaha!

School is really busy, I can't wait for break!  Here's some snapshots from the past few weeks!
